We were gifted an Itison voucher for Nick's...We had read some reviews where some were disappointed with the limited choice on offer ..Yes, the menu is limited but the flavoursome dishes were truly delicious...The tandoori spice soup was wow and my main of the penne pasta in a Napoli sauce was awesome..My wife loved the soup and her chickpea curry too. The staff were friendly and our table right next to the pizza oven was cozy...Would definitely return with or without an Itison voucher ..We also had a wee chat with Nick who came across as a nice guy.

Took friends to this super and one of our favourite Scottish restaurants. Dog friendly and set in beautiful grounds, close to the Lake of Menteith. We had Vension ragu and pizzas which were all delicious as were our starters and sweets. Always a great varied menu choice and price range. Fresh home grown on site, vegetables and herbs. Archie stayed quietly under the table. For bird watchers we were enthralled by the bird life in amongst the bushes and trees.

I recently attended Nick Nairn's Cook School, and the experience was absolutely brilliant. Nick himself guided us through the day, sharing not only his culinary expertise but also personal stories that truly enriched the class. Nick's emphasis on experimentation and learning from mistakes was inspiring. He provided us with invaluable tips and demonstrated how to cook various dishes and sauces, making the process both educational and enjoyable. The interactive nature of the class allowed us to engage directly with Nick, which was a highlight. Every dish we prepared turned out fantastic, thanks to his expert guidance. I also want to mention Alistair, Nick's assistant who has made sure that all our stations were setup each time we had to cook again. He has made the whole process smooth for all particants! I highly recommend Nick Nairn's Cook School to anyone looking to enhance their culinary skills and enjoy a day with a brilliant chef who shares his passion and personal insights.

We were staying at Trossachs Barn and booked here in advance. I had chosen inside , but we were given the option to sit outside anyway, which we did as it was hot weather. Fabulous service. I had seafood cocktail to start, seafood linguine main and cheese to finish Husband had Carpaccio , Tuna, Almond Tart . We shared a bottle of Vino Vherde (1st time I've seen it on a menu in the UK). Its a very relaxing atmosphere. We used our 10% off voucher from our accommodation. Whole bill came to around 110. Excellent quality and quantity of food here. Many thanks to all front and back of house staff, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Loved it here . We had a late lunch today and it was absolutely lovely . We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady who showed us to our table , inside as not sure about the Scottish weather. Although the covered outdoor tables looked lovely. I had seen online about langostines so mentioned it in our booking and they weren't on the menu as a starter today but they did have some so they made me a very happy lady and cooked me a portion for my starter . Also the venison meatballs were delicious. All the food was delicious even down to the salad dressing . We will definitely be returning for more visits when we're up in Scotland. It was also lovely seeing Nick and his wife pottering around in the garden . Couldn't recommend this place more . If you like proper tasty food visit here you won't be disappointed

Our third visit to Nick’s restaurant and we really love it! We were excited to try the seafood specials. The langoustines and monkfish satay skewers were delicious. We also had the asparagus and citrus salad from the main menu which were really good. Great selection of yummy wines at reasonable prices. Staff are nice and friendly and we can’t wait to return for some more deliciousness
